I am Matt Kuhlman, the man behind Meadowlark Painting. I grew up in Kansas, where the state bird is the meadowlark, but have lived in Milwaukee since 2015. I worked in the painting industry for nearly six years before deciding to launch my own company at the beginning of 2024, and I serve clients throughout southeastern Wisconsin.
Prior to being a painter I was busy earning a Master of Fine Arts degree. I’m still a working fine artist and exhibit my work regularly. My fine art can be found at www.mattkuhlman.com.
As Meadowlark Painting I primarily specialize in painting, both interior and exterior, and drywall work, but with my varied background I’ve picked up lots of other skills along the way. I’m proficient at refinishing woodwork, tuckpointing, carpentry, and other such things. If there’s something you want done, chances are I can figure out how to do it for you.
